I know, I know. No wine tab this month.
I am hollow.
But never fear, it will return next month.
However, just because we don’t have a wine tab doesn’t mean we don’t have some hot prices going on right now.
Ten wines on sale for less than 10 bucks this month:
• Penfolds Koonunga Hills
The Shiraz or the Shiraz-Cab blend would be great for your hearty winter soups.
• Gabbiano Chianti
You say Italian food, I say Chianti.
• Calina Carmenere
A tasty choice for those winter beef stews.
• Edna Valley Chardonnay
You’ll save 7 bucks this month on this wine. I like it with creamy soups.
• Blackstone Merlot
A Merlot like this one can bridge the gap between a soup (or dish) that has little too much oomph for a Chard, but not enough oomph for a big red wine.
• Screw Kappa Napa Cabernet Sauvignon
Yup, it has a screw cap. And it’s from Napa.
• Mirassou Pinot Noir
Like Merlot, a match for slightly softer – but still intensely flavored soups – like our Smoky Black-Eyed Pea Soup.
• Wente Chardonnay
Good with chicken pot pie. Yum yum yum.
• Cline Zinfandel
Awesome with our Tri Tip Tortilla Soup with Avocado. (I can personally vouch for this, friends.)
• Newman’s Own Cabernet Sauvignon
At a squidge over $10 (99 cents, but who’s counting?), but can you resist a sale that is 9 bucks off? I can’t…
