So there’s a new wine tab and I got through..um..three wines from last time.
I know, I know.
Um, did you know there’s a new wine tab out? (Note swift changing of subject.)
And the prices are good until Cinco de Mayo? Sweet… (Dulce…)
So, setting up this month’s Wine Club tasting menus, we opted for sweet wines, so I tried my hand at Loredona, Polka Dot and Hogue Rieslings.
I’m a big fan of dry Rieslings (not sweet), as we’ve previously discussed. Really, I’ve discussed and you’ve scrolled down the page, but I like to think we’re having a discussion, right?
I think if you like a mildly sweet Riesling, you’ll like the Polka Dot. The Hogue is definitely dessert wine time – although I think it could be awesome with fruit sorbet – or maybe even my current once-in-awhile-indulgence, Häagen-Dazs Toasted Coconut Sesame Brittle Reserve Ice Cream.
One more pairing note: try pairing the Rosemary Sartori Cheese (cheese of the month) with a Sauvignon Blanc, like Guenoc (so on sale this month).
