As you might have noticed, I'm been shamefully neglecting my blog here at the Wine Club.
We've been pretty busy around here - not as an excuse - but to touch on the fact that we’re coming up on the first year anniversary of our Wine Club and I realized I’ve been letting you down.
So let me start by apologizing.
Now let's talk wine!
We've been bubbling around here in anticipation of this year's Grape Escape. (Hint: Champagne floats and peaches with blackberry balsamic drizzle. Nom nom nom.)
The Grape Escape is an annual wine and food event here in Sacramento, showcasing NorCal's best wineries, as well as nibbles from the area's finest restaurants. And we're sponsoring it again. Yay!
You can save $ on admission here. You can save 15% on limos here (be safe out there, folks!). And our Wine Club members can get in an hour early as VIPs with this.
I personally like Grape Escape because it's not only a chance to get out there and interact with all of you - but it's also a chance for me as a wine drinker to sample other wines I may not have tried.
I like to experiment but if I can experiment with a glass instead of a bottle - tis much better in my book.
I hope to see you all there on June 6 and in the meantime, I should be able to report back to you next week with new wine tips. (Plus, I'm starting work on cocktail recipes for the holiday SE magazine this weekend - fun stuff!)
