In fact, one of my favorite “house wines” is on sale this month. As in, one that is served often at my house on a weeknight, especially if we make the Sutter Sirloin Chili, which is a household favorite *yum yum yum*. (Although we add 2 more cans of black beans, because that’s how we roll.)
It’s a lovely little Spanish wine called Wrongo Dongo (only $7 this month!).
I love wine but I’m so not drinking $30 bottles every day, people.
Another great pick: Fat Bastard, a creamy and rich French Chardonnay.
And three of my fave Sauv Blancs: Brancott, Nobilo and Kim Crawford – all from New Zealand. Big tropical fruit and an explosion of flavor. (You old-blog-timers might recognize Nobilo as my winner of the Great $2 Coupon Debate.)
Kim Crawford also makes a great Pinot. In fact, New Zealand is home to a lot of great Pinots, due in part to its cool climate.
(As I go down the list, it occurs to me that I might just be giving my paycheck back to the Mothership this week.)
If you feel like a bit of splurge, Moet & Chandon is a ridonkulously good price this month – we’re talking $13 off, people. (Stock up for the holidays? I’m just saying.)
OK, if you must have one more deal – Freixenet, a great everyday bubbly from Spain for $6.99.
