Which cheese to choose?
Selecting the right cheese to offer guests should not be an overwhelming feat.
1 Pick cheeses that are familiar to you and your guests, such as Cheddar or Swiss. These recognizable cheeses will draw people in and encourage them to try other varieties.
2 Choose a cheese that is artfully crafted and pleasing to the eye, such as Huntsman, Irish Porter Cheddar or braided mozzarella.
3 Don't forget sheep's and goat's milk cheeses. Try manchego, Laura Chenel Fresh Goat Cheese and Black Castello.
4 Experiment with different textures by including Brie or Camembert. Serve warm at room temperature, but make sure they’re not too runny.
5 Find a cheese that captures your attention. If you find it remarkable, your guests will too. Show-stopping cheeses like Purple Moon Cabernet Soaked Cheddar or Humboldt Fog are both spectacular choices.
PRESENTATION: Use marble, glass or fine wooden platters (as shown in pictures below) for cheese display, as bold colors or patterns will take away from the presentation. Don't forget to include appropriate cheese knives and toothpicks, as well as an assortment of crackers, fruits and breads.
