Ingredients

2      cups California walnuts, divided
3/4   cup honey
3/4   cup dried apples, chopped
2      tbsp. finely grated orange zest
1      tbsp. orange juice
2      tsp. herbes de Provence
1      tsp. ground coriander
1      tsp. lemon juice
1/8   tsp. coarse sea salt
1      Old World Style Sweet French Baguette (in our Bakery), cut into 36 slices
8 to 10 oz. goat cheese
Directions

Prep: 15 minutes Cook: 1 to 2 minutes Makes: 36 appetizers

1. Coarsely chop 1 cup walnuts and with remaining walnuts, finely chop another 1 cup. Place in a large bowl and add remaining ingredients except bread and cheese. Stir vigorously until well mixed.
2. Place baguette slices on a baking sheet and top with equal amounts of cheese. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes just to warm bread and soften cheese (watch carefully, this only takes a moment!)
3. Top each with a spoonful of honey walnut spread and serve immediately.
