Holi (Hindu)
Holi, also known as the Festival of Colours, is a popular Hindu spring festival observed in India, Guyana, Trinidad, the UK and Nepal. It celebrates spring, commemorates various events in Hindu mythology and is a time of disregarding social norms and indulging in general merrymaking. During Holi, Hindus attend a public bonfire, spray friends and family with colored powders and water, and generally go a bit wild in the streets. Holi festival has an ancient origin and celebrates the triumph of 'good' over 'bad'.

Hinamatsuri Day (Japan)
Celebrated in Japan, this day is also called Doll Festival or Girl's Day. Families pray for the happiness, success and prosperity of their girls, helping to guarantee that they grow up healthy and beautiful. Families who have daughters display special dolls for this festival and dedicate them to peach blossoms.

St. Patrick's Day
An annual feast day which celebrates Saint Patrick, one of the patron saints of Ireland, and is generally celebrated on March 17. Saint Patrick's Day is celebrated worldwide by Irish people and increasingly by non-Irish people (usually in Australia and North America). This holiday is celebrated by wearing green or orange, eating Irish food and/or green foods, imbibing Irish drink (such as Guinness or Baileys Irish Cream) and attending parades.

Palm Sunday
In Christian faith, the Sunday before Easter marks the return of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem exactly one week before his resurrection. Christians mark Palm Sunday as the beginning of the holiest week of the year, which ends on Easter Sunday. Its title stems from palm branches that were laid on the road as Jesus entered into Jerusalem.

Cesar Chavez Day
A state holiday in Calif., César Chávez Day is in remembrance of Chávez, a Latino labor leader who worked to improve the lives of California farm workers. The holiday encourages community service and volunteerism to honor his life and work. Other states that celebrate the holiday are Arizona, Colorado, Michigan, New Mexico, Texas, Utah and Wisconsin.
