The following sweepstakes is intended for viewing in California and Nevada only and shall only be construed and evaluated according to California law.

 

1.    How to Enter the Sweepstakes:

 

a.    The FREE Groceries Sweepstakes begins March 11, 2009 and ends April 21, 2009.  A maximum of two valid entries per household will be accepted.

 

b.    Online Entries:  Enter online at www.raleys.com. Entries must be received between 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2009 and 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21, 2009. To enter online, entrant must enter his or her valid email address, mailing address, phone number and zip code in the online entry form. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning the email address or the domain associated with the submitted email address. One entry per person except when forwarded to a friend and friend completes online registration at raleys.com. See details below.

 

c.    Bonus Online Entry: Entrants may earn an automatic bonus entry into the contest using the forward to a friend option.  Simply enter a valid email address of a friend on the entry form. One friend per customer, for a maximum of 2 entries per person.

 

d.     Mailed Entries:  Download, Print, Complete and Mail entry form at www.raleys.com. Entries must be completed by entrant with valid email address, mailing address, phone number and zip code. Each entrant may enter by mail a maximum of two times. Entry forms must be mailed to: Raley’s Free Groceries Sweepstakes c/o Cassi Elliott, 500 West Capitol Avenue, West Sacramento, California 95605.  Sponsor assumes no responsibility for incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible, late, stolen or lost entries. Mailed entries must be postmarked no later than April 14, 2009 and received no later than April 21, 2009.  Mailed entries not postmarked and received by these dates are not eligible to win Prizes.  

 

2.    Eligibility Restrictions:

 

a.    The sweepstakes is open to participants who legally reside in California or Nevada 18 years of age or older at time of entry, except employees of Raley’s, Bel Air Mart, Nob Hill General Store, Inc., Warehouse Concepts dba (Food Source), their agents, affiliates, subsidiaries (collectively “Sponsor”) and members of their immediate families or persons residing in the same household are not eligible to enter or win.

 

b.    Only one (1) Grand Prize or First Prize winner per household is permitted.

 

3.    Prize:

 

a.    Grand Prize – One (1) Grand Prize winner(s) will win a FREE year of groceries awarded in Raley’s Gift Cards totaling $7,800. The gift cards will be redeemable at any Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods, or Aisle One location.

 

First Prize - Three (3) First Prize winner(s) will receive a culinary adventure including a “Hands on Gourmet” experience for 10 people at a venue of the winner’s choice. Menu decisions and fine details will be arranged by the winner with a designated “Hands on Gourmet” representative based on the total prize value of $1,800.

 

Second Prize – One thousand (1,000) Second Prize winner(s) will receive a coupon redeemable for a Raley’s premium organic reusable bag with an approximate retail value of $3.99.

 

All winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received.

 

b.    All prizes are non-transferable. No cash redemptions. No prize substitution or alternative prize will be allowed except as provided herein.  Raley’s reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize be unavailable.

 

c.    Odds of winning depend on the actual number of valid entries received.

 

4.    Selection of Winner:

 

a.    Decisions of Raley's Marketing Department with respect to the sweepstakes are final.

 

b.    No later than May 1, 2009, the winner(s) will be selected via random selection from all eligible entries received by the deadlines.

 

c.    All Prize winner(s) will be notified on or about May 6, 2009.  Grand Prize and First Prize Winner(s) must respond to prize notification within five (5) days of notification or another winner will be randomly chosen from the remaining eligible entrants. Second Prize Winner(s) will be automatically mailed a prize redemption coupon that can be redeemed at any Raley’s, Bel Air or Nob Hill Foods location (See www.raleys.com for locations). 

 

5.    Conditions:    

 

a.    Entries received via mail must be handwritten. No ink stamps or address labels allowed. No reproductions of entry blanks accepted.

 

b.    Limit one entry per household, except as described above in section #1.

 

c.    All federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the responsibility of the winner.

 

d.    Except where prohibited by law: (i) entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name, hometown, likeness, photograph, voice and statements regarding this sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes in any media, including the Internet, for any purpose whatsoever on behalf of Sponsor without compensation; (ii) each potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Winner’s Agreement and Release within five (5) days of notification.  If winner notification is not returned or is returned as undeliverable, prize will be forfeited and another name will be drawn.  By participating in the sweepstakes and winning the prize, winner releases Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the sweepstakes. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible or lost entries.

 

e.    Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sponsor's Websites or that is otherwise in violation of the rules. Sponsor further reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the sweepstakes if it is not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, unauthorized intervention, technical failures of any sort or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize to eligible, non-suspect, entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the sweepstakes is prohibited.

 

f.    Sponsor reserves the right to make changes in the rules of the sweepstakes, including the substitution of a prize of comparable value.

 

g.    Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in a participant's disqualification, at the sole discretion of Sponsor. Participants agree that Sponsor is not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this sweepstakes or acceptance, possession or use of prizes.

 

h.    Sponsor is not responsible for typographical or other errors in the printing, the offering or the administration of the sweepstakes, or in the announcement of a prize.

 

i.    For a list of all winners, available after June 1, 2009, mail a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:  Raley’s Free Groceries Sweepstakes List Request c/o Cassi Elliott, P.O. Box 15618, Sacramento, CA 95852 for receipt by July 30, 2009.

 

6.      Internet Privacy Policy: By use of this website and by entering the sweepstakes, you agree to Sponsor's Website Privacy Policy and to the use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy located at raleys.com/privacy.jsp and nobhill.com/privacy.jsp.

 

7. Liability Agreement:  By entering, entrant agrees to follow the Official Rules and hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of either (i) entrant’s participation; or (ii) the receipt or use of the prizes awarded in the promotion.
