RALEY’S PEPSI 500 SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.
1. HERE'S HOW TO ENTER: Hand print your name, age, street address and daytime phone number on an official entry form or a plain piece of 3 x 5 inch paper. Mail your completed entry to Raley’s Pepsi 500 Sweepstakes, PO Box 48266, Spokane, WA 99228. Limit one entry per person per day. Each entry must be mailed separately in a hand-addressed, stamped envelope. No photocopied or mechanically reproduced entries will be accepted. No responsibility is assumed for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, misdirected or postage-due entries. All entries must be postmarked no later than September 8, 2008 and received no later than September 11, 2008 to be eligible for the drawing. All entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sweepstakes ends September 8, 2009.
2. PRIZES: GRAND PRIZE: (1) Grand Prize will be awarded, consisting of a trip for 2 to the Pepsi 500 on October 11. Trip includes: round trip coach air transportation for two (2) to the Southern California area, (2) nights hotel accommodations (single room, double occupancy), (2) tickets to the Pepsi 500 Race on 10/11/09 and $500 Spending Money. Approximate Retail Value: up to a maximum of $2,500 U.S. dollars, depending on winner’s point of departure.
Sponsor reserves the right to select travel dates, race date/location, airport, air carrier and hotel. No alternate dates are available. Winner and travel guest must travel on same itinerary. Winner and travel guest must possess all necessary documentation required for travel (e.g., valid photo identification). Any minor travel guest must be accompanied at all times by winner who must be the minor’s parent or legal guardian. Meals, gratuities, transportation to and from winner’s home and airport and other expenses not specifically mentioned herein are the winner's responsibility. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsors for canceled, delayed, suspended or rescheduled event. Sponsor reserves the right to select seating. FIRST PRIZE: (100) First Prizes will be awarded, each consisting of a Pepsi Racing® Hat. Estimated Retail value $6.00 each.
3. DRAWING: Prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from among all eligible entries received. Drawing will be held on or about September 14, 2008 and will be conducted by a representative of MailStream USA. All decisions of the judges shall be final. Odds of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received.
4. ELIGIBILITY: Sweepstakes open to legal US residents of California, 18 years and older only. Employees of Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods, The Pepsi Bottling Group, PepsiCo, Inc., and Pepsi-Cola Company and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, bottlers, distributors, suppliers and advertising, promotional or judging agencies and immediate family members and persons living in the same household of such employees are not eligible to win. Limit one prize per name, address and/or household.
5. GENERAL TERMS: No substitution of prize is offered, no transfer of prize to a third party is permitted and non-cash prizes may not be redeemed for cash value. Sponsor reserves the right to award a prize of equal or greater value if the published prize is unavailable. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Prize recipient will be solely responsible for paying all federal, state and local taxes on prizes; if applicable, winner may receive an IRS Form 1099 for the retail value of the prize. No groups, clubs, newsletters or organizations may reproduce or distribute any portion of these Official Rules to its members. All entrants, as a condition of entry, agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION/RELEASES: Potential winners will be notified by phone and/or mail within five (5) day of the drawing. Prize winners may be required to claim their prizes within five (5) days by signing and returning an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release. In the event (i) the required documents are not returned within five (5) days (ii) mail is returned as undeliverable mail without a forwarding address (iii) a telephone notification is not confirmed to Sponsor within forty-eight (48) hours or (iv) winner is unable to travel on the dates specified, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected from among all remaining entries as time permits. Travel guest of winner may also be required to sign and return a travel release before prize is awarded. Any portion of any prize not accepted by winner shall be forfeited. Upon forfeiture for any reason as stated herein, no compensation shall be given. If applicable, allow one (1) to three (3) weeks for delivery of prize following completion of notification process. Prizes will only be delivered to addresses within California. Winners, by acceptance of a prize, agrees to release Raley’s, Bel Air, Nob Hill Foods, The Pepsi Bottling Group, PepsiCo Inc. and Pepsi-Cola Company and each of their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, divisions, affiliates, suppliers, distributors and advertising, promotional or judging agencies from any and all liability, claims or actions of any kind whatsoever for injuries, damages or losses to persons and property which may be sustained in connection with the receipt, ownership or use of the prize or while preparing for, participating in, and/or traveling to any prize-related activity or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or in the announcement or offering of any prize. Sponsor makes no representations or warranties of any kind concerning the appearance, performance or safety of any prize awarded. The winner shall bear all risk of loss or damage to prize after it has been delivered. Sponsors and their agents have made no representation, warranty or guaranty, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize or part thereof. Sponsors reserve the right to cancel or suspend the sweepstakes if it is tampered with or corrupted in any manner and, in the event of cancellation, prizes will be awarded via a random drawing to be conducted from all eligible entries received as of the date of cancellation. Except where prohibited by law, winners must consent to the use of their name, voice, picture or other likeness without compensation for promotional purposes in all media as determined by Sponsor.
