Grocer Continues Holiday Tradition In Northern California and Nevada Stores

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif.–Raley’s Family of Fine Stores is partnering with the Salvation Army in the 2013 Red Kettle campaign, with the annual holiday tradition kicking off today at all Raley’s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods stores in Northern California and Northern Nevada.

 

This year, Raley’s is bringing the Red Kettle campaign indoors (with quieter bells) and inviting its customers and employees to volunteer ringing the bells themselves

 

“We are bringing the Red Kettle campaign into our stores to support this great cause and to add an additional way to conveniently give for our shoppers,” said Jennifer Teel-Wolter, community relations manager for Raley’s. “We have been working closely with the Salvation Army dating back to when my grandfather started the company and we have partnered with them on many charitable programs over the years.”

 

The Red Kettle campaign began in San Francisco more than 100 years ago and assists more than 42 million people each year.

 

"The Salvation Army is grateful Raley's has partnered with us for the Red Kettle program," said Major Bill Dickison, Salvation Army Del Oro Division Divisional Commander. "Through the bell ringing efforts, the Salvation Army is able to provide hope and joy to families and individuals during the holidays and year round. We are blessed to serve our local communities and to work alongside an amazing partner like Raley's."
