Raley's Recognized As One of the Nation's Top Grocery Companies
Consumers Continue to Score Raley?s, Bel Air and Nob Hill Foods Among the Best
(Friday March 28, 2014)

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (March 28, 2014)— Just weeks after being recognized for having the best pharmacy in the West, Raley’s Family of Fine Stores ranked among the nation’s best grocery stores in the United States according to more than 27,000 readers surveyed by a leading national consumer magazine.

The magazine ranked grocery companies of all sizes throughout the country on a variety of consumer experiences including personal service, cleanliness, perishables and price satisfaction.  Raley’s scored best among survey respondents for its wide array of fruits, vegetables and meat; the cleanliness of its stores and superior customer service.  Raley’s scored an 83 (out of 100) which was the sixth best score among grocery chains and one point higher than its score in 2012.  According to the magazine, a score of 80 or higher means that customers surveyed were “very satisfied” with their shopping experience at that grocery store.

“We are thrilled to learn of this recognition based shopper feedback,” said Nicole Townsend, director of Marketing Communications for Raley’s Family of Fine Stores. She added, “Our focus has always been on providing our customers with the best shopping experience possible and it is gratifying to see that commitment validated in this prestigious survey.”

Last month, the same leading consumer magazine scored Raley’s as the second-highest rated supermarket pharmacy in the nation and the top supermarket pharmacy in the west. With 97 in-store pharmacies, Raley’s scored a 92 to finish one point behind the highest-rated supermarket pharmacy, Wegman’s Food Markets, an 83-store grocery chain based in New York.
