Congratulations to these Raley's Reach Recipients!

The K-5 school will use these funds during the 2012-13 school year to implement and facilitate a school-wide science curriculum that includes science experiments, a science fair and technology integration opportunities. These enhancements will benefit the student experience and provide much needed support to teachers in this important subject.

Region 2 - North Foothill Region: Sierra View Elementary School
Earning a total of 4,123 votes, Sierra View Elementary School is a K-6 school in Chico, Calif. They recognize the need for updated technology and aim to equip classrooms with document cameras, digital projectors, smart-boards and computers. By purchasing new technology, the school hopes to increase the effectiveness and impact of the lesson plans that are taught to prepare students for academic success in today's digital era.

Region 5 - Greater Bay Region: Penngrove Elementary School

The school included a link to the Raley's Reach voting page on its web site, which made daily voting easy and convenient for parents and staff. The funds will be used to construct a permanent shade structure over the school's outdoor eating area to protect students from the elements while they eat their lunches. They plan to have the structure installed prior to the end of the 2012-13 school year.
