Brandied Apple Cranberry Sauce
Brandied Apple Cranberry Sauce
2 cups peeled, chopped apples
1 cup Barsotti Apple Cider (in our Produce Dept.)
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup brandy
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 (12- oz.) package fresh cranberries

Substitute additional apple cider in place of brandy, if you prefer. 

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 30 minutes, Serves: 8

Bring 2 cups peeled, chopped apples, 1 cup Barsotti Apple Cider (in our Produce Dept.), 1 cup sugar, 1/3 cup brandy, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and 1 (12-oz.) package fresh cranberries to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 

Make-ahead tip: May be prepared 1 week ahead and stored tightly covered in the refrigerator.
