Pecan Pie Yams
5 lbs. yams
1/4 cup butter, melted
3/4 cup brown sugar, divided
1-1/2 tsp. cinnamon, divided
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 of a refrigerated pie dough, torn into small pieces
1 cup pecan pieces
A great choice for your sweet yam-loving guests!
2. Add butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp. cinnamon to yams and toss lightly. To prepare topping, stir together 1/2 cup brown sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg and pie dough in a medium bowl with a fork. Mix with your fingers until well blended and crumbly. Add pecans and sprinkle over yams.
3. Bake for 30 minutes or until yams are hot, tenting with foil if topping browns too quickly.
