Grilled Glazed Prosciutto and Melon
6 strips sliced prosciutto (in our Deli)
6 wedges cantaloupe or honeydew melon, rind removed
6 bamboo skewers*
3 tbsp. Dalmatia Fig Spread (in our Deli)
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
Baby arugula (optional)
Snipped fresh basil
This Italian favorite is given a distinctly Croatian accent by the addition of a sweet fig spread, a traditional cooking ingredient in Croatia.
2. Brush melon lightly with oil and grill over medium-high heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side or until prosciutto is browned and crisp, brushing occasionally with some of the fig mixture. Place on a bed of arugula, if you like, and drizzle with remaining fig mixture. Sprinkle with basil.
