Asian Meatballs with Sweet and Sour Glaze
Asian Meatballs with Sweet and Sour Glaze
2 1/2 lbs. ground turkey
2 (8- oz.) cans sliced water chestnuts drained and finely chopped
2 eggs
1 red bell pepper seeded and finely chopped
1 bunch green onions finely chopped
1 cup plain breadcrumbs
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup Kikkoman Sweet and Sour Sauce
1/2 cup applesauce
Hot cooked rice

Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: about 40 minutes Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Stir together all ingredients except sweet and sour sauce, applesauce and rice in a medium bowl. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet. Cook for about 30 to 35 minutes or until meatballs are cooked through. While meatballs are cooking, stir together sweet and sour sauce and applesauce ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat; keep warm. Serve meatballs over rice with sauce. Makes 8 servings.
