Orange Cinnamon Biscochos
Orange Cinnamon Biscochos
Ingredients
3 cups flour
6 tbsp. sugar divided
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 tsp. cinnamon divided
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup plus 1½ tbsp. butter divided
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tsp. orange zest
Directions

Prep: 20 minutes, Cook: about 10 minutes, Makes: about 30 cookies

1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir together flour, 2½ tbsp. sugar, baking powder, 1 tsp. cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Cut in 1 cup butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in orange juice with a fork, mixing just until incorporated.

2. Divide dough in half and roll 1/4-inch thick on a lightly floured surface. Trim uneven edges and cut into diamond or desired shapes. Repeat with remaining dough; re-roll scraps. Place 2 inches apart on large baking sheets.

3. Melt remaining butter and brush on top of cookies. Stir together remaining sugar, cinnamon and orange zest in a small bowl and sprinkle over cookies; press lightly to adhere. Bake for about 10 minutes or until golden.
