Cheesy “Spiderwebs”  (Fried Cheese Nibbles)

Cheesy Spiderwebs
1/2 lb. of your favorite hard cheese, shredded
Freshly ground sea salt (optional topping)
Bacon salt (optional topping)
Italian seasoning (optional topping)
Ground cumin (optional topping)
Toasted sesame seeds (optional topping)
Chili powder (optional topping)

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 30 minutes, Makes: 20 pieces

1. Spread a scant 2 tbsp. of shredded cheese thinly in a 4 to 5-inch circle on a preheated nonstick skillet (it should look "lacy"). Sprinkle with suggested optional toppings, if you like.

2. Cook for about 1 to 3 minutes on each side (times will vary depending on type of cheese used), or until lightly browned. To turn, lift an edge with a spatula, carefully grab with your fingers and turn.

3. Transfer to a paper towel to cool. Store in an airtight container for up to two to three days.
