Chicken Tikka Skewers
Chicken Tikka Skewers
1½ lbs. boneless, skinless chicken breasts
2 tsp. turmeric
2 tsp. dry cilantro leaves
2 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. ground coriander
2 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. garlic salt
1 to 2 fresh lemons, halved
Small bamboo skewers

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 10 to 12 minutes, Makes: 12 appetizers

1. Cut breasts into thin 1-inch strips and thread onto short bamboo skewers; place in a shallow container.

2. Combine dry seasonings in a small bowl; sprinkle liberally on both sides of chicken. Grill or broil for 3 to 5 minutes on each side or until lightly charred and cooked through.

3. Squeeze lemons over chicken during the last 2 minutes of cooking.
