Classic Cheese Quesadilla
Ingredients
1/4 cup Mexican blend, Cheddar or Monterey Jack Cheese shredded
2 tbsp. salsa or taco sauce
Optional extras: diced canned green chiles, bacon bits, sliced green onions, sliced black olives or canned corn
Serve with sour cream and guacamole for dipping.
Directions
For each quesadilla, start with 1 soft taco size flour
tortilla (about 7 to 8 inches). Place the filling
ingredients on half of each tortilla, leaving a 1-
inch border around the edge. Fold tortilla in half
over filling. Cook for about 2 to 3 minutes on each
side or until tortilla is crispy. (Remember, the
quesadillas will cook faster if the skillet is already
hot!) Remove from the skillet and let cool for a
minute or so. Cut into wedges to serve.
