Herbed Turkey Stuffing
Herbed Turkey Stuffing
8 cups (1 -inch cubes) rustic bread
1/4 cup butter
1 large onion coarsely chopped
2 cloves garlic minced
2 large stalks celery sliced
2 cups chicken stock or reduced-sodium broth
3/4 tsp. dried thyme
3/4 tsp. dried sage
1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning

Prep: 30 minutes  Cook: about 1 hour, 30 minutes  Serves: 12

1. Preheat oven to 375°F and lightly butter a 13 X 9-inch baking dish. Place bread cubes on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes to lightly toast.
2. Melt butter in a large skillet; add onion and garlic and cook for 10 minutes. Add celery and cook for 5 minutes more.
3. Stir together vegetables, bread, stock, herbs and seasoning until stock is absorbed. Place in prepared baking dish and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until heated through and lightly browned on top.
