Pork Chops with Red Hot Applesauce
4 boneless pork loin chops
Milk to cover
3 cups Caesar or herb seasoned croutons coarsely crushed
3 Granny Smith apples peeled, cored and cubed
3/4 cup apple cider or juice
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. Red Hots candies
Prep time: 15 minutes, Marinate time: 1 hour, Cook time: 40 to 50 minutes

Place pork chops and milk in a large bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350°F. Drain and roll pork in crushed croutons, pressing into the surface. Place in a shallow baking dish and bake for 40 to 50 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 145°F. While pork is cooking, place apples, cider and honey in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 10 minutes. Remove cover and coarsely mash apples. Cook, uncovered, for 10 minutes more or until water has cooked off. Stir candies into warm applesauce and serve alongside pork chops.
