Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic Cheese Bread
Caramelized Onion and Roasted Garlic Cheese Bread
1 tbsp. butter
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 cup Rumiano Organic Sharp Cheddar Cheese (in our Deli) shredded
1/2 cup Rumiano Sicilian Jack Cheese (in our Deli) shredded
2 tbsp. Christopher Ranch Roasted Garlic coarsely chopped
1 (14- oz.) ball Il Fornaio Pizza Dough (in our Deli)

Prep: 25 minutes, Rise: 1 hour, Cook: 45 to 60 minutes, Serves: 8

1. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add onion and cook for 20 to 30 minutes or until very soft, stirring occasionally. Let cool slightly and place in a medium bowl with cheese and garlic.

2.  Roll dough into a 14" circle on a lightly floured board. Spread cheese mixture evenly over the dough. Roll up and pinch edges well to seal. Place on a parchment-lined or lightly greased baking sheet. Set in a warm, draft-free place to rise, for 1 hour.

3. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until top is golden brown and loaf sounds hollow when tapped. Let cool slightly before slicing.
