Chipotle Black Bean Turkey Burgers
Chipotle Black Bean Turkey Burgers
Chipotle Topper:
1/2 tbsp. organic olive oil
1½ cups chopped onion
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5- oz.) can Raley's Chipotle Style Petite Diced Tomatoes
1/2 tsp. lime juice

Black Bean Burgers:
1 (20- oz.) package lean ground turkey
1 (15- oz.) can black beans, drained well and slightly mashed
1/3 cup chopped pickled jalapeño peppers
1/2 cup shredded organic Jack cheese
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. Simply Organic Oregano
1/2 tsp. Simply Organic Ground Cumin
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Lettuce leaves
Sliced red onion
6 Rudi's or Alvarado Street Bakery Hamburger Buns

Prep: 30 minutes, Cook: 35 minutes, Serves: 6

1. Heat oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook for 5 minutes to soften.

2. Add remaining topper ingredients and cook uncovered over medium heat for about 15 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.

3. Mix all burger ingredients in a large bowl; shape into 6 flat patties. Cook on a well-oiled grill over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes on each side. Serve with lettuce, onion, and chipotle topper on lightly toasted buns.
