Golden Caraway Breadsticks
Golden Caraway Breadsticks
12 frozen Parkerhouse style rolls thawed but very cold
2 quarts water
1 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. butter melted
1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
1½ tsp. caraway seeds

Prep: 15 minutes Cook: 30 to 35 minutes Rise: 15 minutes Makes: 12 breadsticks

1. Roll each piece of dough into an 8-inch long rope on a lightly floured board; place on a large baking sheet heavily dusted with flour. Set aside to rise for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350°F and bring water and salt to a boil in a large skillet.
2. Carefully drop breadsticks into boiling water, cooking just a few at a time. Boil for 5 minutes, flipping halfway through the cook time. Remove from water with a slotted spoon and let drain on a clean, smooth dishcloth or paper towels; let cool slightly.
3. Place breadsticks on a large baking sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Stir together butter and mustard and brush over the top and sides; sprinkle with seeds. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until golden brown.
