Ghost White Chili
Ghost White Chili
Ingredients
1 (20- oz.) package lean ground turkey
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 (15- oz.) cans cannellini beans (white kidney beans), rinsed and drained
1½ cups green chile salsa
1 cup chicken broth
2 tsp. ground cumin
2 tsp. oregano leaves
2 tsp. Mexican seasoning, like Morton & Bassett
2 tbsp. masa (corn flour)
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste

Optional toppers:
Shredded Mexican blend cheese
Sliced green onions
Sliced olives
Coarsely crumbled tortilla chips
Directions

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 45 minutes, Serves: 6*

1. Crumble turkey into a large pot; add onion and garlic and sauté for 10 minutes. Add beans, salsa, broth, cumin, oregano and Mexican seasoning and bring to a boil.

2. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Stir in masa and cook for 5 minutes more. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

3. Ladle into bowls and have bowls of optional ingredients handy for topping chili.

*Recipe may be doubled or tripled for a crowd.

Tip: Have bowls of toppers around the chili and let people "garnish" bowls themselves!

The ingredients list seems long, but super easy to make. Used Frontera Tomatillo Salsa. You can also sub cornstarch for the masa, although you don't get that nice corny flavor. :) - SE Editor Alyssa

I triple the recipe and have been making it for parties and potlucks for at least 5 years. It always gets raves! I will be making it again for this year's Halloween Party.
