Pinot Grape Granita
Pinot Grape Granita
1 (750 ml. bottle) La Crema Pinot Noir
3/4 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 tbsp. each: white balsamic vinegar and
lemon juice

Prep: 15 minutes  Cook: 20 to 30 minutes Chill: overnight  Serves: 8

1. Place wine in a large saucepan set over medium-low heat. Cook for 20 minutes or until mixture has reduced to 2½ cups. Stir in sugar and cook until dissolved.
2. Stir in water, balsamic vinegar and lemon juice and pour into a 1-quart freezer-safe glass or plastic dish about the size and shape of a loaf pan. Cover and freeze for 8 hours. Scrape the surface with a fork until mixture is slushy. Return to freezer for at least 4 more hours, then scrape with a fork again until light and icy. Cover and freeze until ready to serve.
