Savory Turkey with Limoncello Sauce
Savory Turkey with Limoncello Sauce
1 (20 oz.) package turkey tenderloins
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup flour
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 cup minced shallots
1 cups Kitchen Basics Turkey or Chicken Stock
1/4 cup lemon liqueur
3 slices lemon
2 tbsp. chopped fresh basil

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 35 to 40 minutes, Serves: 4 small or 2 large

1. Season turkey with salt and pepper; dredge well in flour. Melt butter in a large skillet; add turkey and cook over medium-high heat for about 10 minutes or until golden brown on both sides.

2. Reduce heat slightly and add shallots; cook and stir for 5 minutes. Add stock, limoncello and lemon slices; cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until sauce is thickened, turning turkey once or twice.

3. Remove turkey from skillet and cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices. Place on a decorative platter; pour sauce over the top and sprinkle with basil.

Wine Suggestion
Kendall-Jackson Chardonnay The creamy lemon, apple and vanilla of the wine marry perfectly with the sweet tang of the turkey.
