Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks
Cheese Stuffed Breadsticks
1 (13.9- oz.) package refrigerated pizza crust
6 individual part skim string cheeses halved
1/2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. Parmesan cheese shredded
1 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 cup marinara sauce warm

Prep: 20 minutes Cook: 10 to 12 minutes Makes: 12 breadsticks

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Unroll pizza crust and press into a 14-inch square on a lightly floured board. Cut into 4 squares, then cut each piece into thirds to make 12 strips.
2. Place a piece of string cheese on each and pull up dough to enclose, pinching seams well. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet; brush with oil.
3. Mix Parmesan cheese and seasonings in a small bowl and sprinkle over breadsticks. Roll each several times to coat all sides with Parmesan mixture. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Beer Pairing:
Pilsner Urquell - The hoppiness of this classic Czech lager pairs perfectly with the tang of the mozzarella.
