Shrimp with Smoked Sun-Dried Tomato BBQ Sauce

Shrimp with Smoked Sun-Dried Tomato BBQ Sauce
1 cup water
1/3 cup California Sun-Dry Smoked Sun-Dried Tomatoes
1/3 cup Traina Sun-Dried Tomato Ketchup
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup chopped onion
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Raley's Smoked Alderwood Sea Salt or to taste
1 clove garlic, minced
1 lb. Wild Texas Gulf Shrimp, peeled and deveined
Snipped fresh basil (optional)

Prep: 35 minutes, Cook: about 1 hour, Serves: 4

1. Place all ingredients except shrimp and basil in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes. Let cool slightly, then puree in a blender* or food processor.

2. Cook in a grill basket or on a well-oiled grill over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side, brushing liberally with half the sauce after turning. Toss with remaining sauce and sprinkle with basil, if you like.  

*Use caution when blending hot liquids. Hold blender lid down with a kitchen towel while blender is running.
