Curried Lentil Turkey Burgers

Curried Lentil Turkey Burgers
1½ cups water
1/2 cup Tru Roots Sprouted Lentil Trio
1 (20- oz.) package lean ground turkey
1/2 cup minced red onion
1 tbsp. curry powder
2 tsp. garlic salt
Olive oil cooking spray
Naan bread or hamburger buns

optional toppers:
Lettuce leaves
Sliced red onion
Sliced tomato
Mango chutney

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 20 minutes, Serves: 6

1. Bring water and lentils to a boil in a small saucepan; reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Pour through a fine mesh sieve and rinse under cold water; drain well and place in a large bowl.

2. Add turkey, onions, curry and garlic salt to bowl. Mix well with your hands then shape into 6 flat patties; coat on both sides with cooking spray.

3. Grill over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until burgers are cooked through.

4. Serve on naan bread or buns with optional toppers as desired.

The recipe seemed rather underwhelming with respect to the curry flavor. Instead of 1 tbsp of curry powder in the mix, next time I'll try curry sauce over the burger.
