Maple Glazed Walnuts
Maple Glazed Walnuts
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
1 tsp. ground allspice
1-1/2 cups walnut pieces
Prep time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 5 to 10 minutes

Bring maple syrup and allspice to a boil in a large skillet. Cook over medium-high heat for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally with a wooden spoon, until reduced by half and a deep golden brown. Quickly stir in walnuts, stirring to coat with mixture. Pour onto a lightly buttered piece of foil, breaking apart with the back of a spoon. Let cool slightly, then break nuts apart with your fingers. Let cool completely. Store in an airtight container.

Makes 1-1/2 cups.
