Sweet and Smoky Beer Nuts

Sweet and Smoky Beer Nuts
2 cups good quality ale
3/4 cup brown sugar
1-1/2 tsp. Raley's Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt
2 cups roasted and salted peanuts
1/2 cup granulated sugar

Prep: 10 minutes  Cook: 35 minutes  Serves: 8

Bring 2 cups good quality ale, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1 tsp. Raley’s Alderwood Smoked Sea Salt to a boil in a large saucepan. Reduce heat to medium-high and cook for 15 minutes or until thick and syrupy, swirling pan frequently. Stir in 2 cups roasted and salted peanuts and cook until all mixture is coating peanuts. Transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 300°F for 10 minutes. Stir and bake for 10 minutes more. When cool enough to handle, break apart and toss with 1/2 cup granulated sugar and 1/2 tsp. smoked sea salt.
