Apple Cheese Toasties

Apple Cheese Toasties
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 cup peeled, finely chopped green apple
1 medium onion, sliced
1-1/2 tsp. beer mustard
1-1/2 tsp. pure maple syrup
1-1/2 tsp. chopped fresh rosemary
8 slices (1/2-inch thick) Nob Hill Trading Co. Whole Grain European Loaf (in our Bakery)
1-1/2 cups shredded Kerrygold Skellig Cheese (in our Deli)

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 30 minutes, Serves: 4

1. Preheat oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with foil.

2. Melt butter in a large skillet. Add apple and onion and cook over medium-low heat for 20 minutes or until very soft, stirring frequently. Stir in mustard, syrup and rosemary.

3. Place bread on prepared baking sheet and top with onion mixture. Pile cheese over the top and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned.

Variation: Substitute 16 slices Nob Hill Trading Co. Three Cheese Bread and Havarti cheese.
