Homemade Chai

Homemade Chai
2 cups milk (soy or almond milk also works)
4 tsp. ground ginger
2 tsp. ground cinnamon
2 tsp. ground black pepper*
1 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
4 bags black tea
Sugar, to taste

Prep: 5 minutes, Cook: 10 minutes, Steep: 10 minutes, Serves: 4 to 6

1. Combine milk, ginger, cinnamon, pepper, cloves and cardamom in a large saucepan; warm over low heat for 10 minutes. Remove from heat; add tea bags and let steep for 10 minutes.

2. Discard tea bags; pour into cups and add sugar to taste.

*If you like it a little less spicy, only use 1 tsp. pepper.
