Chile Cheese Dog
Chile Cheese Dogs
Ingredients
2 tbsp. butter
1/3 cup minced fresh pasilla pepper
1/3 cup minced red bell pepper
1 serrano or jalapeño pepper, stemmed, seeded and minced
2 tbsp. flour
1 cup milk, plus additional if you prefer a thinner consistency
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. McCormick Perfect Pinch Mexican Seasoning
1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
8 hot dogs
8 hot dog buns, warmed
Directions

While great on hot dogs, this sauce is also perfect over an omelette, a burger, or as a dipper for tortilla chips or fries.

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: about 8 minutes, Serves: 6 to 8  

1. Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add peppers and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

2. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute more. Slowly stir in milk, cooking until mixture is smooth. Add seasonings and slowly stir in cheese and cook until melted.

3. Serve hot over hot dogs in buns.
