Cauliflower “Steak” Sandwiches
Cauliflower "Steak" Sandwiches
2 (1 -inch thick) slices cauliflower (cut in the center through the stem end to make larger slices)
1 tsp. olive oil
1/4 cup barbecue sauce
2 slices sharp Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup French fried onions
2 seeded ciabatta rolls (in our Bakery), split and lightly grilled

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 8 to 10 minutes, Serves: 2  

1. Brush cauliflower with oil and grill over medium heat for 4 to 5 minutes on each side or until soft and nicely grill marked, brushing liberally with sauce. Top with cheese and cook for a few minutes more to melt.  

2. Sprinkle with onions and place in rolls. Serve with additional barbecue sauce, if you like.
