Cranberry Pear Chutney
Cranberry Pear Chutney
1 (12- oz.) bag fresh cranberries
2 large, ripe Bartlett pears peeled, cored and diced
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup onions chopped
1/3 cup Raley's Wine Vinegar
3 tbsp. crystallized ginger minced
1 tbsp. lemon peel grated
Prep time: 15 minutes Cook time: 1 hour

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and stir well. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 50 minutes. Uncover and simmer over low heat until thickened; let cool. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. May be made up to a week in advance.

Makes about 2 cups.

Tip! This chutney is also delicious when spread on cold or grilled turkey or ham sandwiches.
