Grilled Waffle-wich Sandwiches

Grilled Waffle-wich Sandwiches
Ingredients
2 (1/2 -inch thick) slices Whole Grain Bread (or other rustic Bakery bread), cut on the diagonal to make bigger slices
1 tsp. soft butter
1 slice Cheddar cheese
Directions
Prep: 5 minutes, Cook: 5 minutes, Serves: 1

1. Plug in waffle iron.

2. Spread butter on one side of each bread slice. Put cheese
slice between bread slices (butter side out).

3. When light on waffle iron lights up, put sandwich inside and
press down gently. Cook until light goes back on or until bread is
crispy and cheese is melted.

Variations:
- Tuck a fried egg and 2 precooked bacon strips inside with
cheese.
- Mix and match your favorite types of cheese.
- Add a few slices of thinly sliced ham, turkey or salame.
- For a pizza waffle-wich, use mozzarella cheese and slices of
turkey pepperoni.
- Try a traditional PB & J sandwich - hot!

Tip! We prefer Belgian waffle makers because they make deeper
pockets to hold the fillings, but any waffle iron will work.
