Steak and Guinness Pies

Steak and Guinness Pies
1 tbsp. canola oil
3 lbs. London broil, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 cups Guinness Stout
1 (14.5- oz.) can reduced-sodium beef broth
3/4 cup London Pub Steak & Chop Sauce
3 tbsp. whole grained mustard
4 cups quartered mushrooms
1 large onion, coarsely chopped
3 stalks celery, sliced
1 sheet frozen puff pastry (from a 17.3- oz.) package, thawed and cut into 6 pieces

Prep: 25 minutes, Cook: about 2 1/2 hours (mostly unattended), Serves: 6

1. Heat oil in a large heavy pot over medium-high heat; add beef and cook until well browned on all sides.

2. Add Guinness, broth, steak sauce, mustard, mushrooms and onion; cook, covered, over low heat for 1 hour. Crack lid and cook for 1 hour more; stir in celery.

3. Preheat oven to 400°F. Spoon mixture into 6 oven-safe bowls; top each with a square of puff pastry, stretching to cover top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until pastry is golden brown.

We really loved the flavor. We will add a bit more vegetables though. Very good hearty meal.
