Spicy Smokin' Turkey Breast
Spicy Smokin' Turkey Breast
1 whole turkey breast, halved
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Water soaked wood chips in smoker box OR
2 cans Flavorwood Mesquite Bar-B-Que Grilling Smoke
1/2 cup Stubb's Moppin' Sauce
1 cup Stubb's Bar-B-Q Sauce, divided

Inspired by the unspeakably moist and savory turkey at our first Texas stop, Iron Works.

Prep: 15 minutes, Cook: 1 hour 40 minutes, Serves: 8

1. Rinse turkey and pat dry; carefully cut turkey meat off bone with a small knife and remove skin. Stir together dry seasonings and rub onto surface of turkey; set aside.

2. Place wood chip box or can on hot grill. When chips are smoking, place turkey on grill away from heat source (to grill by indirect heat). Cook for about 1 hour. Replenish wood chips as necessary to keep smoke going strong; turn and cook for 30 minutes or until cooked through and nicely browned from smoke.

3. Place turkey over medium heat and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, coating liberally with moppin' sauce, then 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. Remove from grill; slice and serve with remaining barbecue sauce.
