Grilled Irish Patty Melts
Grilled Irish Patty Melts
8 strips precooked bacon, coarsely chopped
1 small leek (white and pale green part only), thinly sliced
1 (16- oz.) package Jennie-O Turkey Store Lean Turkey Burger Patties
Salt to taste
1 cup Cotswold or Kerrygold Dubliner Cheese (in our Deli), shredded and divided
2 tbsp. butter, softened and divided
8 (3/4 -inch thick) slices Pugliese Bread (in our Bakery)

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 20 minutes, Serves: 4

1. Cook bacon and leeks in a small skillet over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently; set aside.

2. Season turkey burgers with salt and pepper. Grill over medium heat for 5 minutes. Turn and top with cheese and bacon mixture; cook for 5 minutes more or until burgers are cooked through.

3. Spread butter equally over 1 side of each bread slice. Place butter side down on grill and cook until lightly browned. Place burgers between slices of grilled bread and serve immediately.

Wine Suggestion
A refreshing dry rosé is perfect on a summer’s day - especially when paired with our turkey burgers!
