Apple, Onion and Gorgonzola Pizza
Apple, Onion and Gorgonzola Pizza
1 tbsp. butter
1 small onion, thinly sliced
2 individual pizza crusts
1 cup Raley's Shredded Italian Blend Cheese
1/2 small green apple, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
1/4 cup crumbled Gorgonzola cheese
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts
Fresh thyme, chopped

Prep: 10 minutes, Cook: 32 to 35 minutes, Serves: 2

1. Melt butter in a medium skillet. Add onion; sauté for 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until very soft.

2. Preheat oven to 425°F and place pizza crusts on a baking sheet. Top with cheese, onions, apple, Gorgonzola and walnuts in that order.

3. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes; remove from oven and sprinkle with thyme.

Wine Suggestion
A red blend, or bold red wine like Zinfandel or Tempranillo to match the bold flavors of the Gorgonzola.
