1 loaf Old World Style Asiago Cheese Cracked Pepper Bread
6 strips bacon
2 tbsp. butter
1 large leek sliced (white and pale green part only)
3/4 cup celery sliced
3/4 cup carrot peeled, chopped
3 cups Swanson Natural Goodness Chicken Broth
1 tsp. thyme
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
Prep time: 25 minutes
Cook time: 45 to 55 minutes

Preheat oven to 350°F and butter a 13-by-9-inch baking dish. Cut bread into 1-inch cubes and place on a shallow baking sheet. Bake for 10 minutes to toast, then transfer to a large bowl. Cook bacon until crisp in a large skillet. Remove and drain well, then crumble. Remove all but 2 tbsp. fat from skillet, then add butter. Sauté leeks, celery and carrots for 7 to 8 minutes or until softened. In a large bowl, toss together bacon, vegetables and remaining ingredients; mix until broth is absorbed. Turn into prepared pan and bake for 30 minutes.

Makes 8 to 10 servings.
