Nut and Goat Cheese Stuffed Dates
Ingredients
8 oz. whole dates
1/4 cup walnuts or pecans toasted and chopped
2 oz. goat cheese
Balsamic vinegar (optional)
Directions

Prep: 10 minutes Cook: 20 minutes Makes: 24 appetizers

1. Butterfly dates and remove and discard pits. Stir nuts and goat cheese together until well combined.
2. Place a heaping 1/2 tsp. of goat cheese mixture into each date. Drizzle with a little balsamic vinegar, if desired.

Served on 9/19/09 with Fritzs. So easy, delicious and different. A big hit! Carefully with the balsamic vinegar - don't want to overdue it for both flavor and presentation considerations.
