Baked Globetrotter Fries
Baked Globetrotter Fries
2 lb. russet potatoes scrubbed
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 tsp. sea salt
1/4 tsp. coarse grind pepper
Prep time: 10 minutes, Cook time: 45 minutes

Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut potatoes into long thin
strips and place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle
with oil, then sprinkle with seasonings; toss well to
coat. Bake for 45 minutes, stirring 3 or 4 times
during cooking, until potatoes are golden brown
and crisp.

Makes 4 servings.

Suggested dippers and toppers:

England: Sprinkle with malt vinegar.

Belgium:Dip in mayonnaise.

America: Ketchup, of course! But don't
forget BBQ sauce and ranch dressing.

Netherlands: Dip in peanut satay sauce or
tartar sauce.

Australia: Sprinkle with Knorr chicken
bouillon granules.

Canada: Serve with country gravy.
