Berry Bruschetta
Berry Bruschetta
1 lb. fresh strawberries, hulled
2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
2 tbsp. good quality balsamic vinegar
1 tbsp. snipped fresh basil
1 baguette (from our Bakery), cut into 1/4-inch thick diagonal slices
Fresh mozzarella cheese (optional, in our Deli)

Prep: 10 minutes, Makes: 12 appetizer servings

Cut berries into small cubes and place in a medium bowl; stir in oil, vinegar and basil. (May be prepared up to 2 hours in advance.) Transfer to a small decorative bowl and serve on baguette slices, or baguette slices topped with a thin slice of fresh mozzarella.

Wine Suggestion
Mumm Napa Brut - The bright flavors of this California bubbly are perfect with strawberries, and also balance the creamy mozzarella nicely.
