Sausage Stuffed Flapjacks
16 links Jimmy Dean Heat 'n Serve Sausage Links
2½ cups Kodiak Cakes Flapjack & Waffle Mix
2¼ cups warm water
1/4 cup maple syrup plus additional for topping, if you like (we prefer real maple syrup for its rich flavor)
1 envelope active dry yeast
1 egg
1/4 cup powdered sugar, for dusting

The yeast in this recipe gives our flapjacks a tangy taste and light, airy texture.

Prep: 5 minutes, Stand: 20 minutes, Cook: 10 minutes
Makes: 16 flapjacks

1. Cook sausage links according to package directions; keep warm.

2. Stir together flapjack mix, water, syrup, yeast and egg in a large bowl just until combined; let stand for 20 minutes.

3. Place a large skillet over medium-low heat and coat with butter flavored nonstick cooking spray. Pour a scant 1/3 cup batter into hot skillet for each pancake and cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, spraying skillet with cooking spray between batches.

4. Wrap a pancake around each sausage link, place seam- side down on a serving platter and dust with powdered sugar. Serve with additional maple syrup, if desired.
