Grilled Salmon with Blackberry Sauce
Grilled Salmon with Blackberry Sauce
4 salmon fillets or steaks (about 1½ lbs.)
2 tbsp. chili garlic sauce (in our Asian foods aisle)
1 cup fresh blackberries
1/4 cup rice vinegar (not seasoned)
2 tbsp. honey
1 tsp. each: Gourmet Garden Lemongrass and Ginger (in our Produce Dept.)
1/2 tsp. sesame oil (in our Asian Foods aisle)
Sea salt to taste
Prep time: 15 minutes, Cook time: 10 to 14 minutes

Brush salmon with chili garlic sauce. Cook on a well-oiled grill over medium heat for about 5 to 7 minutes on each side or until salmon is cooked to your liking.

While salmon is cooking, puree all sauce ingredients in a blender or small food processor until smooth.

Serve sauce over hot grilled salmon.

Makes 4 servings.
Wine Suggestion
Cambria Pinot Noir - Salmon and Pinot are a classic combination. We like this Santa Maria Valley Pinot for its bright berry and cherry flavors.
