Chutney Dogs

Chutney Dogs
Ingredients
1 small white onion cut in to 1/4 -inch thick slices
1½ tbsp. vegetable oil
5 ea hot dogs (try Yves Meatless Jumbo Dogs from our Natural Foods Dept.)
whole wheat buns Toasted
Fried onions, Major Grey's Mango or Hot Mango Chutney and whole cilantro leaves
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add
onion and fry until crisp and golden
brown; drain on paper towels. Cook 5 hot dogs (try
Yves Meatless Jumbo Dogs from our Natural Foods
Dept.) as desired (grill, boil or pan fry) and place in
toasted whole wheat buns. Top with fried onions, Major
Grey's Mango or Hot Mango Chutney and whole
cilantro leaves.

Makes 5 servings.
Wine Suggestion
Bogle Sauvignon Blanc - We like pairing these sweet and tangy dogs with a tangy wine, like this white from the Sacramento Delta.
